Philosophy
Togetherness in Love Community emerged out of the hearts of community members with the philosophy that the community can come together in the spirit of love to support one another with their individual experiences and resources to make everyone betteroff. At TiLC there isn't staff and client, just one big extended family working together to help each other. Because of this togetherness, the center provides a warm, safe place where people can feel as if they belong and relax in a family atmosphere. This helps each individual  build their self respect  and determine a sense of direction while being supported by a group that cares. New faces are always welcome.

Company History

"TiLC", began as part of Dorothy Parham's dream and was part of her organization "God's Healing Power Band", whch was founded in 1983. TiLC 's Homeless Program started in 1990, when a group of homeless men came to help them obtain a lease on a four family house, located at 599 Monre Avenue. Mrs. Parham obtained the lease and the ten (10) homeless men moved  in, this was the beginning  of the "TiLC" Transitional Housing Program.
